I am preparing tax return for a college student, he has income that just falls below minimum requirements to file his state tax return. So does that mean he gets lucky and avoids paying few hundred dollars in taxes that the tax software is showing? (Even the tax software is saying he doesn’t need to file, i am just confirming :)
