I didn’t file for 2006, because I wasn’t sure I had to. (My income was really low), but now I realize, stupidly, that I would have gotten all sorts of tax credits. So, what forms do I use to file for 2006 NOW…is there a special form used for filing this late?

go to H&R Block’s office and have them do both years…

You just need your w-2s and 1099′s and file for that year…they will let you know. Best of odds they probably owe you money.

I would suggest going to H&R or something, if you’re not sure.

You use the same forms as you would have had you filed on time. The only difference is that you cannot e-file so you’ll have to mail it in.
You can get the forms and instructions from the IRS website. Here’s a link to the 2006 download area: http://www.irs.gov/formspubs/article/0,,id=169996,00.html
