We have a home in PA that is well over 100 years old that sits on 5+ acres. We are interested in applying for some tax relief, but not sure what we can qualify for. We were thinking we can apply for something historic and/or something for agriculture use of the land (ie. act 319). Can someone please advise us on what we can qualify for and what we have to do to qualify? Taxes are killing us:(

If at least one of you is over 65 or is disabled, and your income including half of your social security is under $35K, you can apply for the PA property tax rebate which can give you up to $650. Unfortunately the deadline for applying this year, for 2007 tax rebate, was 6/30. Other years they have extended that to 12/31 but I haven’t heard if they did this year.
